What We Do

Land4Lives works to build sustainable landscapes that sustain climate-resilient livelihoods, particularly for farmers, and especially women farmers. Across three provinces — South Sumatera, South Sulawesi, and East Nusa Tenggara — we work alongside local governments, communities, and partners to strengthen food security, manage landscapes, and reduce vulnerability to climate change.

Our work is delivered through four interconnected areas

Governance

Strengthening regional policy and development planning so that landscape management and food security are integrated into the government agenda, from the provincial level down to the village level.

Landscape

Advancing climate-resilient landscape management through data, methods, and tools that support restoration, productivity, and regional competitiveness.

Livelihoods and Food Security

Strengthening household livelihoods through agroforestry schemes and kitchen gardens, transforming idle land into a source of income and family nutrition, and building market-oriented business groups based on agroforestry products.

Gender and Youth

Mainstreaming gender equality and youth engagement across all activities, ensuring that women and vulnerable groups gain equitable benefits and a voice in decision-making.
