Who We Are

Land4Lives or Land for Life, is a collaborative climate change project between the Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN)/Bappenas and the Government of Canada through Global Affairs Canada (GAC). The project aims to improve food security, gender-sensitive landscape management, and strengthen climate-resilient livelihoods, particularly for vulnerable groups, including women and girls.

This action is a form of support for the Indonesian Government to fulfill its updated national commitment (Updated Nationally Determined Contribution / NDC) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 29% (with its own efforts) and 41% (with international support) by 2030. In addition, this action also supports the LTS-LCCR 2050 (Long Term Strategy on Low Carbon and Climate Change Resilience) through climate change adaptation and mitigation activities as well as land and peatland restoration.
